I need a way to set Popover width inline in a React Class. I've tried multiple things and nothing seems to change it from the Standard px width.

Also use StyledPopover instead of Popover and you can add any custom css properties in between these two backticks. StyledPopover is just a variable that you are creating to override some of the css properties that Popover component has, so it can be named to anything you want. It is a wrapper on Popover component.

You are essentially overriding the css properties that are provided by reactstrap. That seems like a good solution, I'm still curious if there's a way to accomplish it without having to import another library. The styled-components library worked great and solved my problem.

I still hope that Reactstrap will try to build in a better styling solution natively so that we don't have to add another dependency.

When Bootstrap places the popover, it uses a getViewportAdjustedDelta function to adjust the popover's position so it stays within the viewport. We recently started using react-bootstrap. The popover can still go off the edges of the screen, but it won't go off the top of the screen and become unusable. I've been seeing this too. For a bottom popover, styling it with a fixed width makes it go off the side of the viewport when it's too close to the boundary.
